Artist Biography

Moira paints in both watercolor and oil. However, watercolor remains her first love. Her use of color is vibrant and her subjects seem alive.
She loves the way watercolor has a mind of its own. It can be guided but not controlled.

Moira paints mostly from her own photographs. Her inspiration is derived from many years of travel as well as her love of animals and nature. Her subjects are as likely to be taken from the past as from the present.   Moira is drawn to the past and also enjoys painting portraits from antique photographs, bringing the subjects to life for their descendants today.
